About the Maltclub
Our club was founded by a group of expats and local Chinese whisky lovers here in Shanghai who originally met regularly in each others homes.
Such was the popularity of these gatherings that it soon became impractical to have these increasingly large 'gentlemen only' events in each others' homes. (Wives and partners were not particularly happy at the size and nature of such 'sessions')
Consequently our meetings are now held at 'outside' venues, and although we have adopted O'Malleys as our home base, we are constantly looking for interesting new locations and situations where our gatherings can assemble.
